“Bohemian Moonshine” by Mark Storey
(In his own words)
“Bohemian Moonshine” is a track that will be featured on my debut solo album. The track originated and grew from a slide guitar jam session. I recorded the slide guitar, bass, kick drum, percussion and blues harp and arranged it in the studio.
The title and lyrics came about because I play a Bohemian Oil Can guitar and like it so much I bought another model, this one is called the Bohemian Moonshine. So I named the song after the guitar cos its a great title and wrote the lyrics around this concept. The opening line ” Last train for heartbreak just left the station…” sets the scene and the song can be interpreted in 2 ways….the first is it’s about the guitar the second is it’s about my woman….either version works lyrically.
Final point, the blues harp solo was a first take, one take solo….I just put the harp to my lips and let rip.
