Born and raised in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada, Marshall Potts is a singer-songwriter with a sound that crosses boundaries — a powerful blend of Americana, Country Rock, and classic Rock ‘n’ Roll. Writing songs since he was just 12 years old, music has been his lifelong language. Today he lives on 160 acres of land in the mountains near Kamloops — a peaceful, sprawling sanctuary many, including the Dalai Lama, have described as “the centre of the universe” — where he creates music rooted in nature, spirituality, resilience, and an unshakeable belief in positivity.
His music combines ringing, interwoven guitar lines, buoyant arena-rock beats, and vocals that are both powerful and tender — delivering songs about moving beyond your past, taking back your power, embracing the moment, and living in the here and now. It’s music with a universal message: hope, change, gratitude, and the strength we all carry within us.
He made his full debut with Long Goodbyes (2015) — a deeply personal album that introduced his heartfelt songwriting to the world. In 2020 he released That’s How It Starts — the title track becoming his signature song, earning him international attention and airplay. He followed with a string of bold singles: Free and Easy and The Fall (both 2021), leading into his most ambitious work to date — The Storm (2022 / reissued 2025). A 10-track album about overcoming hardship, finding light in darkness, and the power of transformation — it includes fan favourites The Storm, Heaven or Home, Never Gets Old, Thank You God, and Change, which calls for a better world with infectious optimism.

New music continues to flow: Save The Day (Jan 2024), See Clearly (Mar 2024), Setting Sun (Jun 2024), Until The World Ends (Dec 2024), Sweet Dreams Last Wishes (Jan 2026), and You Can’t Change Me (Feb 2026) — each one further refining his powerful, uplifting sound.
Signed to Spectra Music Group with distribution through Sony/The Orchard, Marshall has earned two movie soundtrack credits, extensive international radio airplay, and has toured across Canada, the US, and Europe — including a showcase at the Cannes Film Festival in France. Onstage, he brings intense focus and heartfelt performance, connecting deeply with every audience .
On his music, Marshall says: “Every song is its own while still sharing a unified underlying vibe… reminding the listener that we are all unique and the same beautiful creations.”
